Serenity found herself continuously fascinated by the world outside the Moon Kingdom, although she thanked her mother for raising her, she always felt as though it was never enough. The books inside the library could only hold her for so long. But today she was finally going to change everything, she was finally going to make a huge move. She was going to visit Mercury, not only had she gotten an invitation, it gave her a reason to start her travelers' log.
he wanted to fill her library with info on every planet that visited, she hoped to visit more and see more. But for now she was going to take her time, she was going to look at everything she could on Mercury. She'd already spoken to her mother about the invite so she didn't question anything, so it was simply just getting there. However, she felt as though maybe her formal dress wasn't exactly appropriate for the occasion. It wasn't a diplomatic meeting or anything, Princess Eirlys simply invited her over. Maybe it was more so a play date? No that sounded far too childish.
"I know! It's a get-together! We get together and talk! That is a far better explanation that my original theory on it."
She said to herself as she looked through her closet for clothing, she knew she was already late but she had to pick something. What she wore would affect how she felt while taking a tour of the planet, along with how she interacted with everyone. But she knew regardless of what the visit was, she was representing the Lunar Kingdom constantly. Even if she wanted to drown herself in books, she was always being watched, judged no matter where she went. So, simply put this outfit was important and she was going to pick a good one. "So...let's see..." She tapped her chin as she pulled out a pair of silver flats, she refused to wear heels while walking.
Her hair was in its usual odango bun style, her right wrist had a pearled bracelet on it. She wore dangling crescent moon earrings and her nails were patined pink. She wore a much thinner, losing the second layer, unlike her formal attire. It was still white in color, but without the diamonds and pearls all around her. The bottom was still quite ruffled, and her back bow was gone. Her shoulders were more exposed than normal and she wore a pearl necklace. She looked at herself one final time in the mirror before nodding in approval, she finally went to her door and with her two guards went off. It took time, but she was able to make it to Mercury and on time as well, luckily she didn't take too much time on her appearance.
Once she reached Mercury, Serenity found herself in complete awe, she was completely consumed by its the structure and just how different it was from the Moon Kingdom. She wanted to be on her own to look around but knew simply leaving Princess Eirlys alone, would be quite rude. She took a little bit of extra time to look around but within a moderately okay timeline, she was able to find her way to the palace. The guards stationed there led her down a long hallway till they all reached the throne room, Serenity nodded at the guards as they opened the doors. Serenity walked into the room with a smile on her face, curtseying both at the royal family.
"It is an honor to be in your presence your majesty's. I would like to formally apologize for my mother, Queen Serenity's absence, she had business to attend to. I am Princess Serenity here in her place and as a representative of the Moon Kingdom. Thank you for having me here today."

The Mercurian Royals were eager to recieve the Princess and Queen of the Lunar Kingdom, as they had sent the invite but had told Eirlys to write it. They had instilled strict rules the day prior in order to ensure a flawless visit, knowing how stiff the Lunarian Queen could be. Eirlys had been ordered to not speak of controversial topics as she tended to do, and a guard had been placed at her side to ensure her best behaviour.
Mariner Castle had been cleaned from top to bottom, at least twice, and now the royals were sitting at their thrones, with Eirlys in her shorter throne wearing her princess dress, it was a shoulderless, long-sleeved dress with a sky blue cape at the back, and the dress itself faded into white at the bottom of the dress, upon her feet where low-heeled sky blue shoes.
Despite her many protests, her hair had been pulled up into a tight bun that was giving the princess a headache when she preferred a ponytail, and her jewelry had been polished, the ice blue choker shimmered gently in the throne room light, the sapphire embedded within, glinting gently. Her face felt raw at the moment as her bath had been far too hot and she had been scrubbed down by one of the maids, and her entire body tingled. Her parents had ensured she would be perfect looking. Though she felt miserable and antsy as she had been warned to keep her mouth shut on certain topics or there would be punishments, so she had resigned herself to silence for the time being.
As Serenity entered, the King and Queen stood, as did Eirlys and her siblings; as the young Lunarian Princess apologized for her mother's absence, there was a moment of silenced shock. The Queen was not coming?
"Welcome, Princess Serenity." King Hermes spoke, brilliant green eyes gazing at the young princess as Queen Sequana stood silently. "We hope your visit here is informative. Our daughter Eirlys, whom is your age, will be giving you a tour, and a brief history of our planet." He glanced at his youngest and Eirlys stepped forth, curtsying deeply to Serenity.
"Welcome, your highness, to Mariner Castle. If you have any questions, or requests, please do not hesitate to ask." Eirlys stated, reminding herself to stay formal in front of her parents as to not embarass them or make them punish her. "I am most honored to meet you."
"Why don't you girls go and talk then?" Hermes suggested. "And get better acquainted."
"May I change first, father?" Eirlys queried, flinching at the glare she recieved.
"No, you may not. This is a formal visit, therefore, you will remain in your formal attire, is that understood, Eirlys?" Hermes responded and EIrlys looked down, silently nodding. "Good, now off you go."
"If you will follow me, Princess Serenity." Eirlys started towards the doors that led out of the throne room.

Serenity found herself fascinated with the planet Mercury, it was her first time visiting the planet and she had to take in everything. So far she could feel the change in energy, the moon had its own aura, and so did Mercury. She couldn't quite put her finger on the word, on which described Mercury, but in her mind, she knew it would appear. She was only in Mercury for a few days, partaking in a personal trip for research. She wanted to gather information about the other planets, hoping to engage and educate her people. It was important they saw what she did, maybe she could help them grow, even if she was not queen.
She continued to pay her respects as the royal family spoke, she didn't dare intrude and could hear that the king was stern. But she also felt a deep respect for him, even if she did feel a little intimidated, she was also equally excited. She kept her smile to herself, and finally waited for everyone to finish talking. She curtseyed one final time and followed Princess Eirlys out the doors, making sure to keep herself calm.
She was so happy she wanted to burst. She had so many questions she wanted to shout them out, this day was more than a simple visit, it was destiny. Princess Eirlys. It is so wonderful to see you! I am Princess Serenity of the Lunar Kingdom. It is an honor to see you." Serenity said with the biggest smile on her face.

"It's a pleasure to have you here, Princess Serenity." Eirlys replied softly, keeping her tone calm and formal, damn the bodyguard that was walking by them! She couldn't be herself and it was irritating her to the point of her wanting to scream but she kept calm, forcing herself to walk at a steady pace. "If you have any questions, " She glanced at the princess, hazel gaze taking her in. "Please don't hesitate to ask, I'll answer your questions as best I'm able."
Oh her head hurt... "If you'll excuse me a moment." Ducking into a bathroom, Eirlys took the headache-inducing, demonic too-tight bun out and redid her hair in its usual braid and ponytail style. Sighing in relief and rubbing her sore head, Eirlys grumbled angrily in Mercurian, then rejoined Serenity. "Sorry about that, the bun I had was giving me a headache." Shaking her head, she smiled softly at her and continued walking.
"I'm afraid you were invited here under false pretenses." She began. "See, my parents made me write that invitation so that you could be under a formal visit, but that's not what I wanted, I genuinely just wanted to get to know you and talk to you. However, I'm stuck being formal and cold as Mercurians are rumored to be." She glared at the bodyguard. "I do wish he wasn't here, I'd be more myself."
