What’s a Sailor Moon RPG without Sailor Senshi? They certainly play an important role at Court Intrigue, and since it’s an AU, they don’t have to resemble the senshi in the series. That said, this thread is a must-read for creating your own senshi for our ranks.
FUKU-
The sailor collar is solid (no stripes) in the senshi’s primary colour and ends in a square cut in back. Its front is fastened by a large star-shaped gem brooch. The strapless black bodice is reinforced at the chest with another layer of fabric, in her secondary colour. The skirt, in the senshi’s primary colour, is opaque and forms loose folds of fabric at the waist. The front wraps around itself, with the overlapping ends draping gradually to the sides and ending below the knees in back. A large bow with long tails sits at the lower back, right at the waistline of the skirt, in the senshi’s secondary colour. The tiara is a string of glass beads in the senshi’s secondary colour, and it centers a star-shaped gem on the forehead.
Each fuku will have a primary, secondary, and accent colour. You don’t need to use the same colours as the canon Sol fukus, but try to keep it recognizable. For example, you don’t need to use blue for Mercury’s primary colour, but in that case make it her secondary or accent colour instead. Accessories may be any of these three colours or black like the bodice, just as some canon Sol fuku accessories use white. Be aware, the star-shaped gems must be the same colour as each other, and you may not use black for them. Also, please do not use black or white for your primary, secondary, or accent colours. You may use dark or light grey instead, and very dark or very light shades of other colours are acceptable as well. Raw materials that aren’t cloth, such as metal, wood, rope, or bone, are allowed to be uncoloured. Please do not use accessories that are too modern, like sneakers.
Please describe the fuku in your profile to the best of your ability, and put it in your own words. Yes, we all know how it looks, but we prefer to see your writing skills at work.
POWERS-
No copies of canon Sol powers, please. Be creative! We allow two powers at the time the story starts, with more powers to be announced later. Using the planet name in the attack name is not required.
We ask that each senshi follow a consistent theme with their powers. Please, no vague ‘energy’ powers since those are boring. Not all powers need to be for offense, either; having defensive or supportive powers adds interesting dimensions to battle.
The allowed element themes for each senshi will be listed below. If an element has OR in it (for example, Metal OR Love for Sailor Venus), please only choose one of the elements and stick to that theme only.
Mercury- Water in all forms (liquid, ice, fog, etc.)
Venus- Metal OR Love
Mars- Fire
Jupiter- Electricity OR Flora
Saturn- Rebirth
Uranus- Wind
Neptune- Ocean
Pluto- Time
If you have any questions about what else we might allow, please ask. We’ll try to be flexible. If you find any canonical basis for an alternate element than what’s listed above, please present your evidence and we’ll consider it.
Also, feel free to link the power to the senshi’s personality somehow. Does your Sailor Mars love animals and train them? Have her attack using animals made out of fire, or create claws/wings made of flames! There are plenty of possibilities.
WEAPONS-
Most canon Sol Senshi don’t wield weapons, but we’ll allow it for any of our senshi. However, it is not required for your senshi to use a weapon.
You may have one weapon for your senshi, the exception being identical multiple weapons. Does your senshi use twin tonfa, or have a limitless supply of darts? You get the idea.
Shields may also be allowed, if they fit with certain weapons.
Try to think outside the box and choose something other than swords or polearms. You could even use something that isn’t commonly thought of as a weapon. Be forewarned; if a certain weapon type gets to be too common among our senshi, we’ll cap it. Again, nothing too modern like firearms.
Weapons must be in the fuku’s primary, secondary, or accent colours. Again, uncoloured raw materials are allowed for blades or handles and the like.
HENSHIN-
This is fairly standard. You can make up your own henshin sequence, as long as it’s as creative and flashy like all things Sailor Moon. Include your senshi’s personality and elements as you see fit.
The henshin phrase at the start will be (Planet Name) Power, Make-Up! No exceptions.
The henshin item should be some trinket of personal value to the senshi. For instance, your Sailor Pluto who’s fascinated by clocks could use a pocket watch. If you honestly can’t think of anything personal for your senshi, you can use something more generic. Of course, everyone’s henshin item will be made over to look all cool and senshi-like. Please, no items bigger than what could fit in the palm of someone’s hand.
As a general reminder, we may ask you to change details about your senshi during our reviews. We want there to be plenty of variety, so we’ll carefully review to make sure your senshi’s fuku and other features are not too similar to those of other senshi.
Remember, communication is important! As mentioned, if you aren’t sure what’s allowed or just have questions, definitely ask one of the mods! We try to be online as often as possible, so you can expect a reply pretty quickly.
