Kou's Avatars and Signatures

...now that I'm back home and have my Paint.net back, sorta went on a mini spree of making avatars and signatures. Here's just the ones I've done today:

Redid Kou's avatar and signature, because that white just made my eyes bleed....





I briefly used this sig and av set for Kou...and went back to the cowboy hat set, because I just liked it a lot better than this set.





This is what happens when I listen to "My Hands" by Leona Lewis during a thunderstorm. The lyrics don't totally fit, but I liked the song too much not to use the lyrics in something. Nothing majorly done, just some soften portrait stuff using Paint.net and adding of text, cropping, the same ol same ol stuff I do.

This is the first av and sig set I made for Apollo, the mean kitty from Elysian. Since his human form was modeled after Michael Graziadei from the Young and the Restless, I wanted to make sure he was in the graphics. The cat being used is an Abyssinian, and much of Apollo's natural cat form has features from this breed.





I jokingly made this sig in response to the kitty shipping thread. XD It's hideous and will never be used for that account.



And...this sig came about after talking to Jo and once again voicing how crappy my art skills were.

This av and sig set features Yoon Eun Hye, who just...is too damn cute. Anyway, this is for Hyun Ae's account. Nothing fancy, just added text and did some cropping stuffs.





SO like...I was on a graphics spree. And Hyun Ae needed love. Took lyrics from "You Can Do It" by No Doubt, because they sorta fit what would happen if some of the charas in this game found out that a) she was a Zodiac in hiding and b) was financially helping to support the rebels. Messed with the blow on this one, but that's it.

And coming soon to a rebel movement near you, Lea Velia. The woman in that picture is actually the model Coco Rocha.





Everyone of my other characters (plus one) was getting new graphics, so Lea got some too. I absolutely hate the hell out of this song, but I thought it would be fun considering Lea's "poker face" is hard to see through. All I did was desaturate the pic.

What started out as just a new siggie for Hyun Ae ended up becoming a project. The idea is to make a set of 12 13 siggies for each of the Zodiac senshi, featuring a PB (I tried to go with ones that folks have mentioned before) and brief information about the sign (text is from this astrology site, except for Ophiuchus...got information for that sign at this other site). Right now I've only made graphics for accepted Zodiacs, with exception to Aries since her mun has been inactive and could lose the slot. I have not and will not be going in to do recoloring on images, mostly because I lack the patience to do so. If someone wants to come along and recolor hair, eyes, etc, they are welcome to do so. The name of this series is Astrobits. Feel free to point and laugh at my handiwork now.

While looking for graphics for another character, I came across this pic and was like...that could suit Padma...mostly because I saw her gripe about folks guessing Divya identities in the box or something. Anyhoo, here they are. Desaturated the crap out of that pic and did minor hue altering, though you can't tell it. Also softened the pic and drained some of the warmth out since she's been described in her posts as being pretty like...black and white...literally.

Coming to a CI near you! Takeshi Kaneshiro as Kunzite, the fourth of the Shitennou from Sailormoon. I didn't do very much to this, other than do some photosoftening for the text. Lyrics are a snippet from "The Unforgiven III" by Metallica.

Made this in like 5 minutes for a guy in my coalition on City of Heroes. He's a pervert, and that's really the only explanation needed for this one.



This is Charletain...and she sorta like died in the course of RP...and is kinda like a ghost now. Lyrics have nothing much to do with her, but the fact they come from the song "What's It Feel Like to be a Ghost" amused me.



And this is Combustion Gal, a teenage mutant who can go asplodey at really inopportune moments.



A simple sig for Combustion Gal. The base pic is from an inked commission piece I purchased.



This is something I cobbled up from a screenshot my friend Demon Hunter from City of Heroes sent me. This is his Asgardian character, Skjor Stormbringer. Sort of franken-quoted from that cheesy Next Avengers movie (that unfortunately my son seems to love...so it gets watched a lot). It's bit on the large size to use for most forums, but any smaller and it just doesn't look as good to me. The code on the site has it reduced to a smaller size, so make sure to click to get the full view.



...*sigh* I felt my IQ drop while doing this sig, but practice is practice. This was requested by Red X from City of Heroes, who is...yeah, he can be short bus special sometimes. Good guy all the same though. XD Anyway, bit too big for most forums, and with the code in place on CI you have to click to get the full size image.



...okay, these are so not signatures period. I've got a thing with my teenage hero Grey Osprey that she's going to have a ton of costumes. I get 5 costume slots total on CoH per character, and I've got 2 versions of this character. Each version will only have 1 costume that is the same, and that's her original costume (modeled after her dad's old costume). After that? Well, both versions will have 1 set of civies and they'll be different, and the rest of the costume slots will all be different. The civies are done...but that leaves me with a total of...hrm...let's see...6 costumes total to come up with. I've opted to model them after archer type heroes out of both Marvel and DC comics (with changes here and there), and just for fun I did comparison style pics, with comments from Osprey on what she thinks about them. As I finish these pics, I'll edit this post...

Since hubby and I are going to give Star Trek Online a try (although...it's kinda sad we're in the open beta...and only have like maybe a day or two to mess with it before we say goodbye to net access -.-;;; ), and its inevitable I'll probably go on a graphics making spree, this is a new post to show off what I make.

This is a tentative siggy for the Klingon character I'll be making (have to do Federation gameplay first in order to make a Klingon). Her name is Chaar, and in an ideal world I'd have her played by Rachel True. I lack photomanip skills to even attempt to put Klingon head ridges on that pic, and kudos to anybody who has the patience to try it. -.-; Anyhoo...just used some soften and lighting stuff, text, and overlay for this one. Some of the text is due to change, as hubby and I have yet to make our fleet (um...WoW equivalent would be guild), or discuss a name for said fleet. For now, I think Warrigul Squadron sounds okay. Once I unlock Klingons, I'll be making this character and likely this graphic will change as a result.



And now that I've been able to get in game, I've got some screen shots. Made this quick set while servers were down the other night for maintenance. This is how my Klingon engineer Chaar looks in game, and in the background is her Bird of Prey, the IKS Warrigul. House name changed, as part of her background is that she married into her husband's family since she's the third generation of a dishonored house. Since my hubby plays her hubby, I had to change the name when he opted for a different one. His Klingon's name actually comes from a nickname a sheik gave him out in Iraq, since apparently Clark is hard to pronounce or something over there. They would call him See Lark (basically pronounced how I spell it). Anyhoo...I've chased rabbits...just a resized headshot for the avi, and the sig has overlay and text and that's it.

This is a tentative siggy to use for my Bajoran Science Officer, Mauh Auroma, captain of the USS Lynn. PB is Pauley Perrette, and this involved the butchering of three different graphics, adding text, and resisting the urge to try and hand draw Mauh's earring on poor Pauley's head. This will likely be altered once I can really get ingame and get some good screenshots of her. Right now the servers are really unstable...I had to go through the character creation screen three times before it finally quit booting me long enough to make her.



And now that I've been able to get in game, I've got some screen shots. Made this quick set while servers were down the other night for maintenance. Again, this is my Bajoran science officer, who has been made acting captain of her ship due to stuff in the game that I won't tell you because that'd be spoiling stuffs! I included the faith quote mostly because the Bajorans, as a people, are a very religious culture. While they were under the Cardassian's thumb, most of the time all the Bajoran people had was faith to keep them going. I wanted to go with a quote from Deep Space 9, but didn't feel like flipping through to find a specific episode I had in mind where...wait...yeah...chasing rabbits...again...*cough* Um, the av is just a headshot, shrunk down for use at the STO forums. Only did minimal amount of stuff to the signature, mostly overlaying and adding text.

Sooooo...I got a little excited about Aftermath...and went on a spree of making graphics for three of the charas I have planned for that RP.

Auina Kym originally was an Earthbending acrobat character on Feng Shui, and my very first ATLA fan character. For Aftermath, I'm dropping the Earthbending. PB I used for this one is a Filipina actress named Roxanne Guinoo.





Hye Kun was a young Earthbender I created for Spirit Crisis. Very little had to be changed for this chara to fit Aftermath. No idea who the girl is, but the PB is Korean...I think... >.>





Koray is a waterbender I'll be creating for Aftermath. I'm taking some nods from another profile I made for Feng Shui, but so much of it is going to have to be retooled that he'll pretty much end up nothing like the original character. PB is Jonathan Abraham, an Indian actor and former model.

So it's been awhile since this was updated, and thought I'd remedy that.

Here are a couple of forum sigs I made from a sketch commissions I got from my friend Theri in my superhero RP group.

The first is of Grey Osprey, my archery/martial artist hero, with lyrics from Linkin Park's "Leave Out All The Rest."




The second is of my alien/valley girl Parvin Ix'chel, snuggling up with her shapeshifting boyfriend/girlfriend Shane (he's currently in his Asian chick form). Lyrics are from "Smile Smile Smile" from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.

So I received the commission of Padma today from my friend Theri, and I'm very pleased with how she turned out. This is sporting the somewhat retconned look for our third story.



Update! Didn't really do anything fancy, just some cropping and slapping text on there. I like the sig more than the avatar, but I wanted to have show off the creepy blank face somewhere. xD
