There was certainly one thing that could be said about this palace; they had very large, very impressive gardens. Zoisite had spent much of his free time since he got there wandering around said gardens, touching and smelling everything he could get his hands on. He had come outside after dinner tonight, since being summer meant more daylight, but now it was starting to get a bit dark and he wondered whether he should be heading back in soon. Nah. The sky was beginning to darken, which meant the stars would be out, and the romantic in him loved the blue velvet night sprinkled with its myriad twinkling jewels as much as the silky feel and heady scent of the gardens. He lay down on his back in the grass with his arms supporting his head and just watched the stars begin to peek out one by one. He wondered if the sky was similar enough here to his homeland that he could maybe locate some of the same constellations. Or if not, maybe he could ask one of the locals to help him identify a few new ones. Soon he saw a shooting star streak through the sky overhead and closed his eyes to make a wish.
"I wish," Zoi began quietly, "I wish that none of us would ever have to fight, that people from the Earth, moon, stars and everywhere could learn to live together in peace."

Things had gone alright, and Eirlys' curiosity had finally won over in her quest to see Earth. Taking her disguise with her she took a StarRose (one of the more common vessels on Mercury) to Earth. It was a round pod-like ship, with rich pink and red hues and the best in Mercurian tech. Humming softly as she listened to the intergalactic radio, she adjusted her wig and glasses, smoothing down her attire. The princess of Mercury was nervous but blinked when a wish came over her radio from Earth when she flew over the local continent.
"I wish, I wish that none of us would ever have to fight, that people from the Earth, moon, stars and everywhere could learn to live together in peace."
"I wish that too." Eirlys sighed in quiet response, tucking her wig hair behind her ears, currently, sky blue eyes narrowing a little bit (thank Hermes for technology and their perks..).
Carefully landing her ship in a cavern, Eirlys sighed a little and stretched a bit, exiting it to check out the flora and fauna, inhaling the fresh air. "Oh...oh this is heavenly." The teen said happily, starting to wander around, enjoying the freshness of the air and the freedom she felt. "Why would anyone want to go to war against such a paradise?"

Making a wish on a shooting star was a childish thing to do, he knew, and as soon as he had finished saying the words he began to feel a little foolish. He raised his head and scanned the area to make sure nobody else had come out and heard him sounding so silly. His cheeks colored to a bright rose shade as he actually did suddenly find someone there.
"Sorry, I didn't know you were standing there," he said sheepishly as he hoped against all hope she hadn't been there for long.
Zoi stood up and brushed some of the grass off himself before he walked over to the young woman and bowed respectfully. As he drew closer he realized he had yet to meet her during his brief time in the Golden Kingdom. She was dressed rather strangely and her hair was dyed curiously blue for some reason. Her clothing was unusual, too, but he wondered whether the strangeness of her appearance just meant she had come from one of the other kingdoms as well. He couldn't have guessed from just how far away she had really come.
"I haven't seen you around the palace before this. Not that I've been here long enough yet to know everyone, but..." One hand went up to fidget with his hair a little. The flush had yet to leave his cheeks. "I'm Zoisite... King of the North."
He still wasn't used to introducing himself that way, and could only hope she didn't kowtow before him or anything embarrassing like that, not on just a casual meeting like this.

Blinking at the young man addressing her, Eirlys smiled warmly at him as he spoke sheepishly. She was mildly amused, so this was an Earthling? They looked so..kind, and the young man seemed rather formal, which made the young princess bow back to him when he bowed to her. As he approached, she forced herself to stay relaxed. She had never felt such curiosity like this, as he spoke, she chuckled softly at how flustered he was getting. It was cute. Listening as he introduced himself, Eirlys adjusted her leather satchel a little, metal clinking slightly.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Zoisite." Her voice was semi-accented (at least to those that had never heard her speak, due to where she was from), and soft. "My name is Arwyn. I'm not from around here, so I seem to be in the same position as you are, as I haven't been here very long either." She glanced around at the flowers and all the beauty surrounding her, it was stunning, and she couldn't help but be utterly stunned at everything despite it being dark out.

The young woman had an accent Zoi couldn't identify, but he had never traveled widely, nor had he met people from every corner of the world.
"A pleasure to meet you, Miss Arwyn." He lightly kissed the back of her hand, as was common when meeting a lady on Earth. "Your accent is lovely. Where are you from? I've never heard anything like it. And your hair... is it a common fashion where you come from to dye one's hair blue? What do you dye it with to make it that color? Is that the national costume of the region you're from, or current fashion, perhaps? I enjoy learning about the fashions of foreign lands. I just bought some of the nicest fabric from the East the day I arrived, at the market. They call it silk, and you wouldn't believe how soft it is!"
He kind of wanted to touch her clothing to see what sort of material it might be made of, but he wasn't so excited that he had forgotten his manners! You didn't just reach out and touch a lady's attire without her permission- to do so would make him seem like some sort of pervert.
He noticed her looking around at the garden with a sense of wonder, as though seeing one for the first time. He wondered what sort of flora and fauna existed back where she came from.
"It's really nicer to come to the gardens during the day, when all the flowers are awake and the colors more vibrant." He looked up towards the stars, which were starting to show quite well as the sun was going down. Without the constant glow of modern city lights to drown out the stars, there were so many more visible here than there would be where the muns live (and probably where Eirlys lives, too.) It was like the whole Milky Way was being laid out for their viewing pleasure. "But coming out at night has its advantages, as well."

Where was she from? Well that was a loaded potato question, wasn't it? She was stunned at the amount of questions the young blonde had for her and she had to contemplate each and every single one, working through her thoughts and how bad she was at lying to do this.
Should she be honest with him, or lie and hope he didn't catch her stutter when she lied? So many possibilities, but what if he freaked out when she admitted she was from the planet Mercury? Would he turn her in, fearful of the incoming invasion from the moon? Or would he listen to her and her ideas about stopping this war altogether as she didn't want Earth becoming part of the empire? Shaking her head, Eirlys sat down after Zoisite kissed her hand, arranging her skirts a little, like a royal princess would.
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Zoisite." She replied softly as she ran a hand over the grass, shocked at the texture of it. It felt ticklish, and a little harsh, but it was cool against her hand due to the cooling temperature because the sun was going down.
"As for where I am, well, I don't know if you would understand." Eirlys began. "It's rather far off." Gazing up at the sky, a sad sort of smile came onto her face. "And, my hair isn't dyed, this is what one would call a wig." She admitted softly. "For my attire? Well, it's simply a style of dress I prefer more than the attire from where I come from. It's not entirely current fashion but a few people are picking it up, I suppose." The Mercurian shrugged a little bit as she spoke.
"Silk? What's that?" She looked over and up at Zoisite. "I've never heard of such a fabric. Is it as soft as you claim? I would love to feel it sometime, and it's nicer in the day? I would love to see that, I wonder what colors they are." Gently, her hand brushed one of the flowers and she had to stifle a gasp at how soft the petals felt. "Oh...it's so soft." She murmured quietly, eyes soft.

He sat down on the grass soon after she did, not wanting to intimidate her by towering over her (which was a rare feeling, to be sure- being fairly short, Zoi didn't tower over a lot of people.) And when she talked about where she was from as being far off, and looked up at the sky, he began to get excited. "You-you're one of those," he began excitedly, before thinking better of the volume of his voice and dropping to a whisper, "you're one of those moon people, aren't you? Oh, I was hoping to meet one of you. This whole war thing... it's just not good. I mean, I know I hate to fight. I just don't understand why we can't sit down and talk it out and each hear the other's side of the story." It was hard not to laugh a little when she felt the need to explain what a wig was. "We have wigs on Earth, too. I've just never seen a blue one before, or clothes like what you've got on. If you were hoping to come down here and look inconspicuous... no offense, but you probably should've looked into the current fashions on Earth and tried to mimic them before you came down. You're lucky you met me first. I can help you fit in a little better, if you want." It seemed Arwyn had some questions of her own; she wanted to know what silk was and whether it was as soft as he said. She wanted to know what colors the flowers were in the daytime. Then her hand brushed one of the flowers, and she remarked on how soft it was. It was kind of fun to watch her, thinking how this could be the first time she had ever been down on Earth, the first time she had ever seen or felt these things. "I'll be glad to show you everything, in the morning," he said. "But the first thing is to find you a place to sleep for the night and something less conspicuous to wear. The fact that could be misconstrued as him inviting her back to his place with impure intentions didn't even occur to him at the moment. MADE BY ★MEULK

A moon resident? Oh no, no, no, she did not want to be mistaken for one of those. She was quiet for a few moments then sighed quietly and shook her head. "No." Eirlys replied softly. "I'm not from the Moon, I'm from a different planet, that's called Mercury. And I hate this whole war thing as much as you do. I don't want it to happen, I want it to stop and for the one that's doing this to think clearly rather than wage war on a beautiful place such as Earth. I never thought I'd feel such fresh air or feel something such as this ground.."
She blinked when he mentioned that she looked inconspicuous and a deep, dark, pink blush appeared on her cheeks. Ducking her head, she took off her wig then, naturally silver/grey hair tumbling out from under it, it was long, and pooled a little on the grass. It was an interesting color, a lighter grey that had a darker grey near the tips. "I suppose I should take my contacts out as well." She mused and did just that, reavealing her soft hazel eyes.
Rifling around in her bag, she found her contacts case and put the blue contacts in and carefully bundled the wig up, also putting it in her little satchel. "What, my green dress and tights isn't in fashion here?" She asked in surprise. "Oh dear...I am definitely lucky I ran into you first." Smiling, Eirlys scooted a little closer to Zoisite. "I would very much like your help, Zoisite, thank you."

There was a pause during which Zoi wondered if he had said something wrong. When she finally did speak it was equally as quiet as his own inquiry had been. But no, she said she wasn't from the moon, but from a planet called Mercury. Zoi's green eyes grew wide. "There are people on other planets, too?" Suddenly he felt very tiny and very afraid. "Do the people on other planets want to have a war with us, too? Or is that only people on the moon? maybe you can tell me something about those moon people? I'm afraid I don't know very much. But my advisor and I, we thought it might be a good idea to talk to the Lunar Queen, if we can find a way to get there, or a way to get her down here. We need to find out more about who she is and why she's doing what she's doing. Do you know how to arrange such a meeting?" The alien girl's face suddenly went red after he said she should have done more research if she wanted to be inconspicuous. Had he said something wrong and upset her? "I-I'm sorry," he said hastily, just before she reached up to pull off her blue wig. A long mane of gray hair fell out, touching the ground. Then she said something he didn't quite understand, and reached up for her eyes. Zoi could just barely stifle his scream. "No! Don't take out your eyes! Oh my gods!" He looked away when she turned her face back to him, not wanting to see what she might look like with gaping black holes where her eyes should be. He didn't look around to see what she was digging for in her bag or the look on her face when she asked if her clothes were in fashion there. "Th-there are a lot of things that are different about you from what we have here on Earth," he said, trying to steel himself to look at her properly, but this was going to be hard. She slid closer to him until he could feel the warmth coming off her skin. So the aliens were warm, too, just like humans, he thought. So, the awkward habit of taking one's eyes out aside, he wondered whether maybe they weren't as different as he might have thought. Eventually he was going to have to look at her, though, if they were going to carry on a proper conversation... or if he was going to help her fit in on Earth like he had offered. But maybe, he thought, he should tell her, "Most people on Earth have two eyes in their heads. So, um, if you want to be inconspicuous you might want to put those back in." MADE BY ★MEULK

"There are, yes, but I don't know all of them." Eirlys admitted softly, tucking a strand of her gray hair behind her ear, and she felt the blood drain from her face. "I can't answer that...I think a lot of them don't want the war but...unfortunately the Lunar Queen has say over us.." She looked down.
"To be honest, that's why I'm here, so I can figure out why she would want to go to war with your planet, maybe if I get experience here, I can report back to her or something and get her to stop." Sighing, the princess shook her head, then blinked rapidly when the poor earth man nearly screamed.
"Whoa, whoa! Hey...hey, I didn't take my eyes out..." She shook her head. "I just... I took out a couple of lenses that change my eye color is all, my natural eye color is called hazel, not blue." Okay it had been a little funny to see Zoisite's reaction but Eirlys hadn't liked how freaked out he had been. Tightening her ponytail, she nudged him gently. "Really Zoisite, it's okay, I still have my eyes." She said in a gentle, reassuring voice. "Look at me, it's okay, I promise."

"The Lunar Queen has say over everybody? Everybody except us on Earth, I mean. That would be the reason for the war, I guess, because she wants us to be under her power as well. Of course the kingdoms of Earth won't want to be absorbed into her empire so readily. I know the Northern Kingdom, where I come from, would never stand for it. If you have a way to go talk to her, do you think I could come along? The both of us together would have more influence than either one of us alone, I think." After he got upset about her taking her eyes out, Arwyn insisted that wasn't what she had done. She said she took lenses out of her eyes that changed the color. Zoi had no idea what she was talking about. "You put lenses inside your eyes? Like the kind they put in a spyglass?" he asked. "I don't understand." There were no contact lenses on Earth that long ago, after all. They didn't even have eyeglasses yet, although there were handheld magnifying lenses you could use to make things look bigger if needed. Zoi just couldn't imagine how you would get those into your eyes, or how they could make your eyes look a different color. They sure seemed to have some strange inventions on Mercury, if they could do that. Finally, after a bit of coaxing, the girl convinced him to look her in the face again. She did indeed have eyes, and they were a different color than what they had been when he first saw her. It was like magic. "How did you do that?" MADE BY ★MEULK

Krutz had been continuing his duty watching his prince from a distance. With night coming on he had cast his bear cloak over his shoulders only to realize, much to his dismay, that it may not be very cold even at night. Krutz muttered a vengeful curse on this land under his breath. From his position his was almost entirely hidden by an array of floral bushes and shade trees all the while being within striking distance just in case. The past day had been a waste. He had searched every tavern, bordello, and alley searching for anyone with the means to get him to the moon. All he could find out was the fear this land has for war. Which in truth made him smirk a little. If they survived all of this perhaps he could convince Zoisite to invade this land and then it treasure would belong to the North.
His plans were quickly dissipated as he heard Zoisite’s wish. Krutz sighed and shook his head. He was entirely loyal to Zoisite and truly believed he would be a great king. He just wasn’t a warrior though and in the North that was a very dangerous thing. It truly had to be the reason the late king had commanded him to be the young prince’s guard. After all he had considered killing the young prince himself mostly out of frustration. That was however before he truly understood Zoisite. His thoughts were changed as a strange young girl entered the garden and began speaking to the king.
Titus gripped the handle of his sword when things took an unexpected turn. This girl was from the sky! Now she had his attention. He listen to Zoisite tell her they didn’t want war in a manner that was less then Nordic shall we say. He would have to work on that with the prince. The young girl was invited to stay with them and she accepted. If Krutz didn’t know better he would have been impressed with it all. Then the girl removed her hair and revealed that it was a wig. Just trying to blend in I suppose. Then something truly horrific happened. It shook Zoisite to his core. The girl seemed to be removing her eyes. Unlike the King Krutz stared riveted by the scene. To be quite honest he had been responsible for the removal of many a person’s eyes. As was a great tribute to the All-Father. He had never seen anyone take out their own eyes.
This was not that however it seemed she had glass on her eyes that changed the color of her eyes. It actually perturbed Krutz. It served no actual purpose! At first he was almost impressed however now it made him feel even worse about the lunar kingdom and the others that they had no idea of. The hell were they supposed to do to stop them? This girl though, suddenly became so tender with Zoisite. She calmed him and continued to assure him. Krutz continued to watch from his perch enthralled to where exactly this was all going.

Zoi hadn't seen Krutz around when he had scanned the area for the presence of others, but it wouldn't have surprised him to find out the man was there; he never seemed to be too far away (and quick to intervene if he even thought Zoi was in any danger.) Apparently he didn't see this girl from space as a threat in spite of the superior technology she came with. Maybe he didn't find her a threat because the lenses seemed to serve no practical purpose? Or maybe he was actually trusting the young king would know how to defend himself if he had to? Er, yeah, probably not that last one. But anyway, nothing bad had happened so far, so unless Arwyn was a spy going undercover to figure out the humans' defenses in advance of a war... well, Zoi didn't want to think about it like that, so he immediately pushed the thought out of his mind. So far he had no reason to believe Arwyn was anything other than the peace-loving girl from another planet that she said she was. And if she proved to be anything else, well, that was part of what Krutz was there for, right? "Oh, and if you do have a way to get to the moon, and you would let me go with you... do you think my advisor could go along, too? He's been with me since I was little, and he always looks out for me. If anything bad happened there, I would want to have him around, just in case we had to fight our way out of there." "I unfortunately don't have a way to get to the moon, and I want to avoid it as much as I can, Queen Serenity scares me." Eirlys shifted a little bit and drew her knees up with a quiet sigh. "I wouldn't want you to go up there anyway...she's dangerous, but if we did have a way to get up there, we'd have to be extremely careful, and I don't mind someone coming with us." She shrugged a little bit. "But I think that should be a last resort thing, we can probably figure something out while I'm here on this beautiful planet." She shook her head.
"Also, like I said I have lenses that change my eye color." She chuckled. "They're good for a disguise when I don't want to be noticed." She could only hope that Serenity didn't catch wind of her coming to Earth, she had no idea how the Queen would react considering Mercury was an integral part of the 'Empire'. Why did it have to be called an Empire anyway? Eirlys felt that was just to show off... Mentally shaking the thought away, she gazed up at the stars again.

Zoisite frowned as the young woman said she had no way to get up to the moon. "But you were able to get here, so you must have some way of getting through space, right?" His eyes grew large, however, when he considered another possibility. "Unless however you got here was meant for only a one-way trip, and now you're going to be stuck here for the rest of your life!" Oh, he hoped that wasn't true! Not that he would mind much if she were saying, since she seemed to be really nice so far. It just made him sad to think she might be stuck on Earth indefinitely, unable to see her home and family ever again. Then she said she wouldn't want him to go up there, anyway, because the Lunar Queen was dangerous. However, she gave a mixed message when she said that if they did go up there, she wouldn't mind having Krutz along, and that if they went they would have to be careful. So maybe she wasn't completely closed-minded to the idea of the three of them going up to meet the Lunar Queen. "I'm not as fragile as you seem to think, though," he said cautiously. "I can... do things... things other people on this world can't do. Nothing as extraordinary as changing my eyes or flying through space, but..." He debated for a long moment whether he should tell or even show Arwyn a bit of what he was capable of doing. How would she react to seeing someone with inborn elemental powers? Would she be fascinated? Repulsed? There was really no way of knowing. After taking another look around to try to be sure nobody was watching, he plucked a branch from a nearby bush and held it up where she could see. A moment later, the branch burst into flame. He looked at her like a child eager to impress his mother. It wasn't the only thing he could do, but it was certainly one of the showiest. MADE BY ★MEULK
