I've noticed a lot of insta-shipping going on around here. For the most part, people at least keep it out of the profiles themselves, but I'd like to remind everyone that falling in love or becoming BFFs over the course of a few posts also counts as insta-shipping and is also discouraged. I've even noticed that some people have been trying to plan who their charas will be friends with before their profiles are finished or accepted! It's really much better if you let things develop naturally over time.
I'd also like to remind everyone to please keep the relationships between muns and characters separate. I love the fact that most of the members on this site are friends and get along so well in the box. I'm also aware that there are some members who, for whatever reason, just can't stand one another. Neither of those should affect the relationships your charas have or the way they interact with one another. That is to say, just because two muns get along, that doesn't mean their charas have to be friends or fall in love, and just because two muns don't like each other, that doesn't mean their charas have to be enemies. Writing IC means writing as your character, not yourself; it's bad RP to let your own personal thoughts, feelings, and opinions dictate what your chara thinks or does.
And maybe it's a little off-topic, but I've also noticed that it seems certain charas and certain muns tend to interact with one another almost exclusively. While there's nothing wrong with wanting to have a lot of threads with your friends, I do encourage people to step outside their comfort zone once in a while. Meeting new charas and having new experiences helps develop both plot and character.
