Profile Rules:
1) Use the proper form. Copy and paste the contents of the code box-- that's what it's there for. You won't be reviewed without it. The senshi section may be deleted if it is not applicable to to your character.
2) This is a text-based RP site, so our players need to know how to write good descriptions. Please describe your character completely enough that she/he could be competently dolled, drawn, and/or done as a sprite. Think of yourself as describing a real person instead of the vague features of an anime-styled character. When describing clothing, we're looking for the general style more than specific outfits, but if there are certain outfits or a uniform she frequently wears, please describe those. Be specific, i.e. if your Senshi's skirt is red, tell us whether it's crimson, burgundy, scarlet, etc. Sites like Name That Color can help with that.
3) Make your name's meaning significant, if possible. There are many sites, such as Behind the Name (for given names and family names) where you can find meanings for names. Bear in mind that the meanings of Japanese names vary with the kanji used.
4) Be reasonable with your character description. Yes, there are characters with blue hair, red eyes, etc. in anime. Just try not to go too wild with it, and try not to clash. Also remember, not everyone is teen-aged, tall, thin, or beautiful, so feel free to make characters who are older, short, plump, and/or plain.
5) Make your character complex and realistic. Real people rarely have one-note personalities, like being cheerful and friendly all the time, or conversely, being evil and nasty all the time. Also, try to avoid huge contradictions, like someone who's always happy outside but always emo inside; different facets of her personality should come together to create a single coherent picture.
6) Do not copy and paste information from another character's profile, Wikipedia, or any other site. The only possible exception is if you can prove you are the original author.
7) Your RP sample must be of the character you are applying for, and must fit into the board's setting. It must be your own work, and preferably give some insight into who the character is as a person. There is a 100 word minimum-- and yes, we will check if it looks shorter-- so do a word count to make sure you have it.
8) You are not officially playing a character until you are accepted.
9) If you feel you are not being reviewed fast enough, you may PM or ask staff about it in the box in case we forgot. Keep it reasonable-- no more than one poke every couple of days. Nagging will not make us review any faster.
10) If you are not staff, do not post in anyone else's profile thread for any reason. If you see something we've missed, i.e. a stolen character, someone claiming to have a degree or license in less time than humanly possible, etc. you may PM your concerns to the reviewer for consideration.
